Corrected sodium

Glucose-corrected serum sodium (hyperglycaemia)

Adjusts the measured sodium for the dilutional effect of a high glucose, so a hyperglycaemic patient is not mistaken for having true hyponatraemia. Corrected sodium = measured sodium + a factor for every mmol/L the glucose is raised.
